Pictured is a Roots 68-URAI rotary lobe blower for a leading producer of cement and other building materials. The customer brought us several of these units that needed repair, hoping to save money instead of having to buy brand new units. However, the units were in poor condition, with most needing major parts to function, including rotors, cylinders and headplates. On the positive side, we had several units of the same blower model at our disposal and were able to harvest and reuse some of the major parts from each unit. As a result, we were able to minimize the repair cost and create one functional blower at a fraction of the price to replace it.
At Anderson Process, we thoroughly analyze and diagnose each repair condition. We provide our findings to the customer and advise the most practical and worthwhile solutions. In this case, being resourceful was the best solution and the customer was pleased with the result.
