Sliding Vane Pumps

Sliding Vane Pumps

These pumps have a number of vanes that are free to slide into or out of slots in the pump rotor. When the pump driver turns the rotor, centrifugal force, push rods, and/or pressurized fluid causes the vanes to move outward in their slots and bear against the inner bore of the pump casing forming pumping chambers.  As the rotor revolves, fluid flows into the area between the vanes (pumping cambers) when they pass the suction port. This fluid is transported around the pump casing until the discharge port is reached. At this point the fluid is squeezed out into the discharge piping.

  • Flows up to 2,200 GPM

Key Features:

  • Versatile Performance: Designed for liquid transfer and recirculation of refrigerants and liquefied gases, the SGL pump is available in six sizes with capacities ranging from 4 to 300 gpm (15 to 1,135 L/min).
  • Robust Construction: Made from shock-resistant ductile iron, the SGL pump’s durable design provides exceptional resistance to both thermal and mechanical shocks, ensuring longevity and reliability in demanding environments.
  • Cost-Effective Maintenance: With replaceable end discs and liners specifically engineered to suppress cavitation and reduce wear, Blackmer SGL pumps can be economically rebuilt to restore like-new performance.

Discover the efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness of the Blackmer SGL pump— your ideal solution for any liquefied gas application.

Reciprocating Gas Compressors

Reciprocating Gas Compressors

The single stage, reciprocating compressors create a low-pressure area in the pumping chamber when the piston moves from the highest point of the stroke to the lowest point. Gaseous product (at a higher pressure in the tank) moves into the pumping chamber. This volume of gas is then displaced when the piston moves to the top of the stroke. Equipped with high efficiency valves, ductile iron pistons, self-adjusting piston rod seals and other robust features, these compressors are designed to provide maximum performance and reliability under the most severe service conditions. They are also a critical component in the design of oil and gas vapor recovery units (VRUs).

  • Flows up to 680 GPM (Liquid) or 125 CFM (Gas)
  • Pressures up to 1,000 PSI
  • Temperatures up to 350° F

CRL Series Sliding Vane Pumps

CRL Series Sliding Vane Pumps

Part of Blackmer’s highly touted cavitation line, the CRL High-Speed Sliding Vane Pumps (CRLR1.25, CRL1.25, CRL1.5 Pump Models) for liquefied CO2 applications offer capacities from 5-22 GPM and are perfect for loop systems and low volume transfer applications. All CRL models are conveniently designed for foot-mounting to a common baseplate and available with 1.25 or 1.5-inch tapped ports. The CRL Series is constructed with solid, ductile iron stainless steel and is equipped with an internal relief valve, replaceable casing liner and end discs for easy rebuilding of the pumping chamber if needed. The special CRLR1.25 inch model features a special liner which offers lower flow rates than the CRL 1.25 Inch pump.

The robust Blackmer CRL 2-4 Inch Sliding Vane Pumps are designed for bulk liquified CO2 transfer and circulation. They are ideal for several applications including industrial and food-processing systems, refrigeration, process plants and transport loading and unloading. Models are available in 2, 3, and 4-inch port sizes with capacities ranging from 25 to 300 U.S. GPM. Like the CRL 1.25-1.5 Models, the CRL 2-4 is also equipped with an internal relief valve, replaceable casing liner and end discs. All CRL 2-4 IN have a double-ended drive shaft arrangement, which allows the pump to be easily positioned for clockwise or counterclockwise shaft rotation. A unique cavitation suppression liner helps minimize noise, vibration and wear.

SGL Series Sliding Vane Pumps

SGL Series Sliding Vane Pumps

Introducing the Blackmer® SGL Pump: The Future of Specialty Gas Service

Historically, specialty gas applications relied on two types of pumps: costly, complex options that offered reliability, and budget-friendly alternatives that often fell short. The Blackmer® SGL pump, part of our Cavitation Line, revolutionizes this landscape by delivering reliable, efficient performance across a wide range of conditions— from low temperatures to high pressures— at a fraction of the cost.
